The Pierce Family Foundation helps Chicago area nonprofits, particularly those focused on housing and homelessness, to fund their organizations without restriction in order to fill the gaps that other funding sources cannot. Additionally, the Foundation operates several special programs such as Peer Skill Share and Top Talent Institute that help nonprofits strengthen their leadership and expand staff members’ skills.
The Foundation’s goal for a new website was to highlight their special programs and make it easier for visitors to understand their program focus and offerings. We needed to reorganize the website’s content structure and redesign the homepage to quickly show visitors how the Foundation fills a special niche in the Chicago nonprofit community.
I custom built a responsive Drupal site which is easier to update than the previous site.
On the redesigned homepage, I highlighted the organization’s mission and clearly marked the different programs for easier navigation. Finally, I added tags for each of the Foundation’s programs for ease of organization and a more streamlined browsing experience.
